It's getting hot out there and I am trying hard to avoid spending money on rectifying that. What I have is a bunch of junk lying around and an nearly inexhaustible supply of guilt free well water... lets see if we can work with that.

Ugh, this is that same hard quartzite rock I couldn't break building the house, why the house is 18 inches higher than it was supposed to be. Of course there is a shelf of it extending into where the garage is supposed to go.

Yeah there is a chance this was my fault for working late in the dark. Been fighting a constant misfire for some time now. When i bought it the last bolt on the valve overhead was broken and that seemed like the place to start. Hey it was broken again! This time however it didn't improve, it got worse. I put a new set of wires on it since the old were arcing out. No change. Cap and rotor, nope....

Recovery of a river log left beached on the ice. Not a bad stick of Ponderosa. We will mill it for lap siding and blue pine tongue and groove stock. I look forward to seeing how the submersion changes the colors. We don't get many opportunities to river salvage here but someday when the outboard is fixed there are a few others we've seen and a bunch of railroad ties.

Usually the only time I do a review is when it is something I would have personally wanted to know or see prior to making a choice. I have worn Thursday's boots for years in my job as a teacher and that coupled with walking to and from school each day means I have put more miles than most on them. This is a look at how a pair from7 years ago and a pair from 3 years ago have stood up to the use.

    Only thing I can think is you’d definitely want a low micron filter before hand as that coil was never meant to have that much liquid flowing thru it. It’s a coil made for refrigeration it’s supposed to have gas pushed thru it now water so it could definitely clog up quite quickly

    • @durkj3370
      @durkj3370 2 дні тому

      Also as others have stated more airflow will help quite a bit. You are also doing the right thing running the water a slow as possible it gives it good time to absorb the heat. I would say with increased air pressure you could bring your water delta to quite a bit higher even with the warmer water you are having to use

  • @rustblade5021
    @rustblade5021 3 дні тому

    Mate, you're throwing money down the drain. The coil needs to be cooler if it's ever going to remove humidity. You are better off using that electricity on something more efficient. there are 12,000 btu (1 ton) units that are surprisingly good, they use a dual hose and rotary compressor. Also no condensate because they use it to cool the condenser.

    I have the old pinch & pull Boston Champion style pencil sharpener and no telling how old it is but it still works flawlessly. It originally had a desk base, but I drilled out the two rivets holding the base on and enlarged the holes slightly and mounted it to the front of my workbench in the garage on the far end. Keeps my compass pencils and the pencils I use for marking wood on my lathe in tip-top condition.

    Add a check valve on the suction side of the pump, the check valve should hole oil in the pump and suction hose itself. Look into a full port check valve, should the same ID of the hose. Make sure you put the check valve at the beginning of the hose. You can also put a check valve at the block so you don’t have positive pressure from the block on the system. Also use stainless steel tubing and fittings. Ditch that brass pump and get a stainless steel pump. You need to put a check valve on the main oil pump pick up tube in the oil pan.
